Methodology

To what extent can we apply traditional domestic urban planning tools and how to use foreign experience? Domestic urban planning practice often demonstrates the inertness of reaction to emerging urban planning challenges and problems. Foreign examples of urban space organization are very attractive, but the simple copying of projects or inviting foreign planners almost does not lead to the desired result, because the planning solution cannot exist outside the framework of the social order, outside the framework of economic relations and the actions of the project customer, outside the genetics and development of the planning structure of the Russian city.

We are looking for new ideas, tools, technologies of urban planning for the creation of a city comfortable for life in the XXI century. This process is reflected both in our practical activities and in educational and methodological publications.
